  1. I read the Ohio killings. In the article it states that one family had been planning this crime on another family for months. They had been watching them for months trying to figure out places they go, where they live and more. the article also state that this was all over a child custody dispute/disagreement.

  2. Recently a wildfire occurred in California and killed 48 people so far. It burned about 20 acres of land in the east of Los Angeles. However the forecast might help the firefighters because it will probably cause a decrease from the fires.

  3. Now that the midterms are (sort of) over, it looks like there's going to be some turnover at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. And not all of it will be orchestrated by the President. First lady Melania Trump shocked the heck out of everybody when she put out a stinging statement seeking the ouster of senior national security adviser Mira Ricardel. Now, President Trump seems poised to fire her

  5. Everything just seems to be getting worse. The wildfires are just getting stronger and hate crime rates are going up. The only signs of good news are and agreement between the U.K. and Ireland and the arrest of a family of murderers.

  6. In the Ohio Killings article, it stated that 8 members of the Rhoden family were killed by 4 members of the Wagner family in 2016. The murders were allegedly committed over a child custody dispute. The Wagners spent months stalking the Rhodens to learn "their daily routines, the layouts of their homes, and where they slept," according to the article. I personally think these offenders should be prosecuted for more than just the murders, since the Wagners did wait for long periods of time to kill the Rhodens while they were sleeping, as the video stated. They should be punished for mass killings, and pre-meditated murder because

  7. This is jus sad how the hate crime has risen to seventeen percent. It seems like it mainly against a religion. Doesn't each teaching have the golden rule or is based off the golden rule. The we have skin color hate crimes I thought we were passed this but if people keep showing their kids how to hate because of skin color it will never stop.

  12. The slayings of eight relatives rocked an Ohio town in 2016. Now comes shock over the suspects arrested in the crime -- all from another Ohio family. This to me was so weird. It seems sick and twisted that a whole family would plot to kill another family like ... what's really going on ?

  13. The wildfire is getting worse every year and it has to be a solution. People are dying because of these fires and California need to find a solution. This is how I feel about the situation.

  14. It's sad that there are hate crimes and mass murders because of things like race and gender identity still going on today. In my opinion, it's becoming tolerated because Trump is in office. People have gotten away with racist crimes and acts because trump is racist himself. He has indirectly encouraged all of the racist mass murders and cops to kill innocent minorities.

  15. I read about the increase in hate crimes. Hate crimes have increased by 17% from 2017 to 2016 and will probably continue to increase since nobody with the means to do something about it is doing something about it. It's sad, but I'm not surprised. People paint America as such a progressive place, but are we really?

Luckily the weather reports state that the winds that had fueled the fire originally will slowly begin to decrease. 21. The most important thing is wildfires in California. The wildfires are getting out of control and people are dying for no reason. A fire in northern California killed up to 48 people making it the most destructive fire in California history. At this rate a whole city will be wiped out by the fires.

  23. I read about the hate crime statistics in the U.S. It is crazy how much racism, homophobia, and just straight up ignorance still remains in this country. Trump's America is creating even more people who are unable to express their views and beliefs because of the amount of hate they receive from others everyday. This country allows us freedom of expression, religion, etc. but we are not even allowed that because we can get killed.

  26. If you you ever switch to the news, if you look at he news you will definitely see the news with the wild fires in California. Forest fires are uncontrolled wildfires burning in lands covered at least in part by timber or flammable vegetation. It could injure and even kill people and take homes and more. In this situation it killed 48 people so far and more than 230,000 acres have burned.

  31. The California wildfires are beginning to get out of hand. Nearly 50 people have been killed in these fires. Firefighters are trying their best to keep these wildfires under control however, it is harder than it sounds.

  32. I don't think anyone is really acknowledging the seriousness of these wildfires. California has some of the most populated areas in the WORLD and due to the frequency of these fires, many just shrug them off. People are being sent out houses, not only because their house is near the line of fire but also because the air is no longer safe for breathing. There are no words that can explain how worried these people are and with the tax rate being highest in that state this only means that hundreds will be displaced until this fire is contained, and they will continue to be displaced once it's over. However what really surprises me is how the president can worry about impeachment but not call a state of emergency for a wildfire that is destined to kill more people than the past hurricanes.

  33. The wildfires that happened in California was dangerous. With all of the building an acers that were burned from the fires. Not a lot of people seemed to mind much of what happened, about 50 people died because of the wildfires that happened in California. If you ask me, I think that the rain here in Georgia needs to seriously go to California right about now.

  34. THIS IS CHARRA TURNER'S POST:
The Ohio Killings is sad and evil, but interesting nonetheless. Th fact that the killers kept their eyes on all members of the family and killed extended members means this was personal. They say it was over a child custody dispute, but to have an entire family meticulously plan to kill another is beyond me. The punishment is the selective death penalty.
