I do agree that the moves the teams have to make are somewhat controversial because of the mixed reactions the fans will have stemming from the decisions. This article basically states that all the teams will have to decide whether or not to trade players, add new players, and lose money trying to do either one. If a team decides to keep a player, they may end up having less revenue from games, and vice versa for trading, or losing a player entirely. Either way, the will inevitably lose money, and gain even more throughout the season.
I don't really know anything about baseball, but the article says these are big controversial trades. I like the trades if they stir up controversies and start arguments.
In my opinion i disagree but i can probably see why they started to put this rule in place. Which means they have to either give up or trade a free agent on their team. I guess it will cause balance in the league but some teams will have to play smart.
