  1. i belive that is is a good thing that they are on strike cause i that that there should be a resable amount of kids in one class cause it is harder for th teachers and it makes it harder on the students too cause the cant get thestuff they need cause the other kids are taking the laring timde away buy talking

  2. I think that they shouldn't have left. Now those students have to fend for themselves because they have no teachers to teach them. I don't think that the teachers have left for valid reasons.

  3. Teacher's are one of the most important components of a successful country and economy. Teachers are severely underpaid and deserve to be able to have a comfortable lifestyle. In the end the teachers have a right to strike for a pay raise.

  4. Yes, I think that the teachers that are on strike have left for valid reasons. I think that they left for valid reasons because wanting smaller class sizes, bigger teacher salaries, and more counselors and nurses are valid reasons to go on strike. It is probably really hard for teachers that don't get paid much to have a class with 50 students or more. That's why I think that the teachers have left for a valid reason.

  5. I think the teachers deserve more support with getting class sizes to be decreased, but I think the strike makes things worse for the students. I agree with the strike, but i don't think it should last long, because the students still need to learn.

  6. I think they did the right thing because nothing would get done if they simply asked. Something has to be done to force their hand. forty kids in a class is way too many.

  7. The teachers do have a right to strike. They must feel stressed out with theses huge class sizes. I have not seen a teacher who like a big class, Not enough room in the class and feel clamped. So the teachers have a right to protest.

  8. Although its not the right thing to do I do understand why the teachers walked. Dealing with a mass amount of students in a class brings lots of simple mishaps but extended. These being mishaps like students making too much noise, being disruptive, or being disrespectful. Since teachers are dealing with that everyday it building up emotions which just resulted in them making the move today. Something does need to come about an solve this whether it me more teachers or other methods.

  9. They have a reason, but they may be making it worse, or at least during the strike. If there is a shortage of teachers and staff, and many of the teachers do not go to work it will make it worse because that is just reducing the number of available staff. In other words they are just making something that they are trying to fix much worse.

  10. I think they should be on strike because the amount of students in one class room is around 50 which is a lot of students in one classroom. The teachers sound have said something to the school for the amount of students in that classroom getting out of hand. I think they should start the school over with a new set of classes and students to balance out the school.

  11. I believe that the teacher strike was valid, as stated in the article there were weeks of heated negotiations between the UTLA and LAUSD before the strike this had to be done. I feel like having a strike was the best way to get their point across as nothing has yet happened to fix the problem.

  13. I think the teachers are doing the right thing. Everybody can't learn if there are 50 kids in a classroom. They're not asking for more money or anything like that. They have a right to protest because of that. The teachers aren't doing anything wrong.

  17. I think that the teachers reason for protest is completely reasonable. They do need better staff . Over 30 students per class is way to much. The stress is overwhelming and the quality of teaching wont be up to par with so many students and so many points of views. In conclusion, the teachers response for insane amounts of workload are completely reasonable.

  18. I think the kids now have to find a way to still learn because now they are going to behind with work and test. It is probably really hard for teachers that don't get paid much to have a class with 50 students . I think teachers should not be mad because they picked the job so if you don't like it then find something else to do.

  19. I believe the teachers left for a valid reason but it wasn't right to leave in the middle of the school year. I think it was not right because it is leaving a lot of kids and parents without a education or knowing there child is learning. In the other hand the teachers do have a valid reason for leaving. They are not getting a increased pay, more students to teach, overcrowding, not getting there education. They should have less students because 40-50 students are too much to handle and no pay increase. Personally, I don't think the way they handled it was the right way because it took a big effect on other people like students.

  20. I agree with the strike because who wants to teach a class with ab 50 students, it may be fun for the students but not for the teachers their class gotta be a complete chaos and really getting no teaching in.

  21. I think they are right because they are putting too much on the teachers and they got tired so they are right for the decision.

  22. The teachers had a valid reason for striking but the timing wasn't ideal. The best timing would've been during the summertime. But it depends on the motive. If they weren't risking the kids education then the outcome that they're looking for would not come to pass. They have to send a clear message that without teachers, kids education is at risk.

  23. I think the article speaks the truth about schools and what teachers have to do. I think the teachers went on strike for valid reasoning because they are hold about 45-50 students which is way to much for 1 teacher to hold. There finally expressing theirselves and the low salary they get.

  24. I feel like the teachers left for the right reasons and that the strike was good because the class would be really unorganized.

  25. I think there should be more teachers to help share the work load of all those students, and they should keep striking.

  26. I think the teachers have a reason to go on this strike because they are demanding increased pay in their salaries and education for the students.

  27. I think this is a valid reason to go on strike. Teachers have bills to pay just like everyone else. Based on my past experience I don't think teachers get paid that much.

In the end the teachers have a right to strike for a pay raise. Because without teachers no one will ever apply for jobs and things .Teacher are underpaid not the upmost.

  29. The teacher strike is valid because teachers are so underpaid. Their classes are too big, and students are not getting proper education. I think the protest brings awareness to their situation, and they should be supported.
