  4. I think its quite sad indeed, people don't attend college just to get shot.
However one thing that somewhat bothers me is that they just identify the shooter as a shooter. If it were someone, say Muslim, a lot of people would call it a terrorist attack. Same with black people you know? But yeah, I am sorry for their families loss.
    If I stated that correctly

  5. this is a really sad incident. in my opinion it does make colleges look bad. it makes it look like the kids are in a unsafe enviornment. it also makes it look like theres no type of protection involved. its really not fair that people are getting killed for being christians.

  6. I don't believe colleges are truly protected from these type of attacks. Most colleges don't have any metal detectors or security around classrooms. They probably don't expect anything like this to happen.

  7. I don,t think colleges are safe from this attack. There are always going to be people who are dangerous and are going to hurt people. This attack was not fair to the Christian it does not matter about your religion.People should be free and feel free of who they worship or pray to.

  8. that's really sad that you want to go to school but can't because safety reasons, what has this world come to?

  9. it makes me feel like most colleges can easily have a gunman walk into the building loaded. especially in college how the professors don't care when you come in or leave class. its sad knowing that the professor got shot and killed for doing his job. also how the gunman had all that time to shot the innocent people.

  10. I say some colleges are safe and well protective, while others are not well grounded. My heart goes out to those who lost their life and their families. Also, colleges can be safer by putting more camera's around the campus. In addition they should places more police around the campuses. United States should start putting gunmen into prison for life.

  11. I think it's sad that there are such heartless and brainwashed people out there. Innocent people have to pay for other peoples sick and twisted actions. Its disheartening to know that there are alot of people out here in america who legit don't have a soul or heart. These senseless killings are getting out of hand. You never know if it's going to be you or your friends. You never know when someone is going to snap or what someone has going on in their head. What we can see on the outside may be different from what might be going on in that persons head. You never know what sick and twisted thoughts someone maybe thinking and you never know when they will act on it. I think that the saddest part... that we don't know and we can't help because these type of people don't reach put or seek for help.

  13. This is a sad and tragic incident. It is scary too, what if I were one of those students. I don't like that the shooter had enough time to ask 10 people what there religion was and then kill them.

  14. I believe this incident is very tragic and sad. For the fact that the reasoning of the shooting was to target the Christians of this school, I feel that this is very disappointing and heartless of those that did the shooting and taking 10 lives. I strongly feel that Colleges need more protection around their campuses, to help decrease these numbers of mass shootings in the U.S.

  15. It is surprising that this happened to a college. Normally students at colleges want to be where they are. College campuses really need more resource officers in their buildings.

  16. i think this is very sad and wasn't that serious. people could of went by this in a different way not 13 families have to go through a terrible time because they have lost a love one. And so did i one of my closest friends died yesterday and was found in one of the neighbor hoods i grew up in this is the link to is. I'm sad because he was only 18 and didn't deserve for this to happen to him.

  18. Colleges are never going to be safe from things like this happening. These things happen a lot lately and they are not jus going to do anyway. All we can do is keep our eyes open and advance security.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Although the officers arrived on the scene quickly, the gunman still had over 20 victims. No college is safe from attacks like this when they can happen so fast and to anyone.

    ReplyDelete
  20. No one in College should even HAVE a gun, let alone shoot people with it. Even if it was a different party delivering the gun we need more security. We need to lower the gun selling. Unless you are in the army YOU DON'T NEED A GUN. They shouldn't even have gun stores, because who's going to buy the gun? Madmen. No more selling guns. Just make it for the military. No exuse. No exception. Nothing, shut down gun stores, they don't need to sell guns, they say its for protection... AGAINST PEOPLE WHO ALREADY HAVE GUNS. You need protection? Take karate classes or boxing or something, really want a weapon? USE A FREAKIN POCKET KNIFE, NOT A GUN!! Even still that's wrong. At a college too? Seriously? What did the kids do to you? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. No excuse, just close the stores down and confiscate the weapons. Just stop trying to use violence, on people who have nothing to do with your problems, to solve your problems. No kind of sense at all.

  21. Too see this monster unloading bullets at these people is disturbingly sick and the monster has the audacity to say are you a christian maybe giving them hope that he might spare them but just to go straight to the students and shoot them. Are you a christian, monster,if so your going to see the devil in a second.Have fun in hell.

  22. you aren't safe for a shooting like this anywhere. this is absolutely horrifying why in the world is someone going around and killing Christians? i just want to know why he did this? what was his motive? i hope this man is fond and put in prison he killed 10 innocent people. i just don't understand how people can be so cruel

  23. In a community collage, 10 people were kill while 20 are alive. If those 10 people were actually christian, then that'll be sad. I'm already sad now. That gunman guy has no right to kill the christian student. Good thing he's dead. I'm surprise 7 of the student survived, but I'm still sad.

  24. I honestly...have no way of responding to this nicely. What would possess a person to target religious groups and take them out just because of what their faith was. I am greatly enraged by this. In all do time though he will get his punishment. Getting back to the point I find this very hard to take too. It's just so dangerous anywhere nowadays and you technically don't know what's safe. There was even a report of a man in Stockbridge, where I live, that tried to lure a girl into his vehicle. It's dark times we're in right now but we got to keep moving forward and focus on the importance of life. Do right and receive it as well when we aren't here anymore.

  25. Colleges are not safe from these kinds of attacks, and schools aren't safe from these kinds of attacks. If an armed shooter with assault rifles and pistols walked into our school with a bag full of ammo, how would we keep ourselves safe? Our school has no metal detectors, there are unguarded back doors located all around the school that anyone can sneak in and out of if they were careful enough. There are storage rooms and plenty of poorly monitored closets to hide in, and we only have one guard here on duty. ((if i'm correct.)) If shooters like this one can get inside of a college and cause this much destruction, how are we, a typical high school, anymore safe than them? Incidents like this are happening way too often, and we don't react with fear or the feeling to fix it. Now, if we see a school shooting on the news, we sit back and talk about how much a tragedy it is, but we never do anything to fix it, since we obviously value a gun more than human life, right? Can't take away our precious guns to save people's lives, no can do.

  26. I can't understand why people are so crazy. Who goes into a classroom and kills people because of their religion? In my point of view religions are still one of the worst things in our world. So many people die because of this. I can't believe that you aren't even safe when you are a normal student at a college.

  27. I think it is beyond outrageous to go to college and me trying to get a education and a person wants to ruin it because they want everyone to suffer for their pain.

  32. It horrible how heartless people in this world are. Those were innocent people wanting to go to college and they got, it is very sad. Now and days some people dont even feel safe walking into school because of all the shooting situations that have been happenning.

  33. that shooting should have never happened. that guy was targeting Christians by telling whoever was Christians to stand. the people that did get up was said "well you will see god in a second ". they were shot and some people tried to call 911 and did. there was 10 deaths and the gunman had 4 pistols and a rifle.

  37. Its very heartless, it like somebody dont care about others. Just want to shoot and kill them. Very disrespectful because student wants go to college and experiencing things. Also they missed their opportunity because of shooting.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The shooting that occurred was a vicious attack against innocent lives for no reason. However, the more infuriating part is that he targeted people based on their religious principles, which makes him further wrong as he is not only violating their rights but also violating the Constitution. It is actions like these of why it should be localized the increase of a police presence in the campuses, as this incident has been one of many in which a college campus has been attacked, whether by gun or by hand.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I don't think that colleges are safe from attacks like this, because I think it's almost Impossible to make a place like a college safe from attacks, too many people on a too big Area. I think it's terrible that Colleges need to be protected so much, because of stupid and bad people out there, that shoot innocent people.

  40. In my opinion, most colleges are not safe from this attack because there aren't medal detectors in the entrance to prevent illegal carrying of weapons also must campuses don't have security guards to keep watch. I feel as though this is a scary situation because for someone to go to college to learn and get an education but then has to face a life and death catastrophic event. Overall, the gunman must had a sort of issue with the Christ religion because he shot them first which is very sad to listen. Lastly, I feel like no one should be discriminate against because of their looks or what they belief in.

  48. Tbh its not about it being safe , having extra police and gun patrol isn't going to anything . It's all about mindset. It's alot of sick people in this world. I do think that should have metal detectors to monitor whats coming in and out of the campus.

  51. Mia Reddick.

Most colleges are not safe from attacks like that. Things of this matter should not happen and now families are suffering from this incident. College is a place where people go and get a degree and better education; not a place for shooting. It is very sad for things like this to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I say that the shooting was sad and once again the shooter has to be something wrong with him. If colleges have detectors for weapons then the college is safe, if not then the college is not safe cause anybody can bring a weapon in to harm someone.

    ReplyDelete
  53. This is happening to much. There are so many signs that people are ignoring and if we as people stop to listen to that one person it wouldn't have to be that way. Colleges need to invest in detectors and people who can be there when you need a shoulder to cry on or just to talk.

    ReplyDelete
  54. College campuses are very open, allowing many strangers to enter their buildings. If the shooter is able to easily blend in with students, they can go unnoticed and cause harm to faculty and students. This is similar to the Virginia Tech massacre.
