  2. It's unfair for the resting players to be blamed as an issue for their league. They say there will be a full discussion at practice on April 6 in New York. They should let the sideline players play more often because it's the only way they will get better.

  3. The league needs to rotate players if they have too many sitting on the bench. They probably make their star players play the whole game, not giving anyone else a chance. Players get tired after a certain point in the game, that's why they should rotate to give everybody on the team a equal chance and equal play time.

  4. This is unfair for some to the point some don't get better and cant increase the intensity through the team

  5. The coaches should start putting in the players that sit the most at the games. The main players are easily going to get tired of playing all of the quarters every game. Like they need to give the bench sitters their time to shine, i mean their on the team for a reason . They do not wanna get paid for just sitting on the bench, even though that sounds good; but they want to do what they love which is play basketball.

  6. i'll say that the players of the NBA need brakes because you have road games that are back to back and that means you may have to sleep on a plane. The fans deserve to see their teams best players and the starters are more than likely the best players. I don't think the NBA season should be reduced but it should extended the number of rest days.

  7. With the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers — who faced off in the past two NBA Finals and are the favorites to meet there a third time this June — opting to sit all of their star players each of the past two Saturday nights on national television, the issue of resting players has become a hot topic in the basketball world.

  8. Yes it is fair the players are in control of their own bodies and their own health.

  9. I think that its a mixture of fair and not fair. Its fair because everybody need a break from their job. It isn't fair because what if you paid a lot of money to see your favorite stars and they sit it. It is basically a waste of money.

  12. So they're saying that the players having a rest is a bad thing? What? You wanna go take their place sir and see if you don't get tired or something?

  17. I believe that it is fair. NBA Players put a big toll on their bodies and when they have the opportunities to rest they should take them. People have problems with anything people do it's annoying.

  18. I agree with the star players resting while playing not so good teams. What's the issue here?

  20. the star players not playing while going against trash teams is smart but it can be offensive to those that they are going against and the people they have playing, i personally dont care

  21. They need to give star players rest because sometimes coaches will have them in the whole entire game which tires them out.

  22. I think they should rest there star players for the playoffs.

  23. For playoffs they shouldn't sit there star players not the whole time at least especially not back to back like that.

  25. Every player should deserve a chance to play!

  26. its fair but not fair because the playoffs are coming up and the coaches dont want any of his players to get hurt. But at the same time they should let them play the game they love

  32. The NBA’s league office has noticed.

In a memo sent to all 30 NBA teams Monday, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said that resting players has “become an extremely significant issue for our league,” and said there will be a “full discussion” of the practice at the April 6 Board of Governors meeting in New York."
