  1. China's deputy trade negotiator on Tuesday acknowledged the challenge in resuming negotiations with the US, saying: "How could you negotiate with someone when he puts a knife on your neck?"
Wang Shouwen made the remarks at a press conference in Beijing aimed at highlighting a newly issued government policy paper on bilateral trade frictions, in which China portrays itself as a victim of US protectionism and bullying.
The paper was released Monday shortly after US President Donald Trump slapped 10% tariffs on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports. China has retaliated with 5-10% tariffs on $60 billion worth of American goods.

  3. The event that I found is that Clay Matthews did not rough the passer. He simply wrapped up Alex Smith as the quarterback clutched the ball and took him to the ground. Sack.

The Packers linebacker didn’t hit the Redskins quarterback high nor low. He didn’t hoist Smith into air, upend him and violently plant him into the turf. He drove right through him.

While it will never take to the skies, the aircraft is to undergo almost a year of testing on the ground to verify the structural strength and accuracy of the design.Although the airframe is largely complete, it's missing some components, such as engines and an avionics system.

  14. For my first current event, Bill Cosby will be learning if he goes to prison today. Cosby has been charged of assaulting hundreds of women over the course of his career. He was only convicted of one charge, though. I personally believe very many of these women were lying in an effort to extort money from him. He may have actually assaulted more than one woman, but the evidence provided in this one case (in which he was found guilty) proves that this one woman may have been telling the truth. I doubt this because the "victim", and hundreds of others, waited over 10 years to report their cases (many of which occurred over 25 years ago). A more humorous current event involves Donald Trump and Iranian oil officials. Trump wants lower oil prices, and the officials have almost reached an agreement. The condition for the lower oil prices is Trump has to "keep quiet and stop tweeting". I 100% agree with the Iranian officials because Trump causes massive amount of hysteria for absolutely no reason by sending tweets threatening foreign leaders with nuclear war (Kim Jung Un) and belittling people of different races other than white.

  23. The mystery behind the sudden closure of New Mexico's Sunspot Solar Observatory has been revealed -- sort of -- in a statement announcing that the facility will reopen soon.
The September 6 evacuation of the solar research facility at Sacramento Peak had everyone talking, except authorities. Adding to the mystery was the additional evacuation of residents in the area without any explanation, CNN affiliate KOAT reported.
Consequently, speculation mounted, including theories involving aliens and UFOs given the facility's location about 85 miles southwest of Roswell, where a mysterious object crashed in 1947. The brouhaha prompted the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA), which manages the observatory, to release a morsel of information: an unspecified "security issue" was to blame.

  26. A current event would Tiger Woods' comeback. This is his first championship win in almost 10 years. He surprisingly made back-to-back bogeys on the 15th and 16th holes which is what allowed him to advanced him to the last part of the tournament. As he finished his last hole to win, he raised his arms in victory and shouted, "Ti-ger, Ti-ger, Ti-ger." This is awesome for him especially after people said there was no way he would ever win another tournament again. This is my current event.
