ReplyDeleteEbola used to be a serious outbreak, but since there was a new drug to prevent Ebola from happening, the death rates have dropped. The US has gone through a recession, dropping their stocks. I am glad that there are new ways to help prevent Ebola patients from passing, and that there is hope for others on surviving the disease. If the US doesn't manage to fix up their dropping rates and find out what is causing such an event, it could lead to a downfall of the government partially.

Then they talked about where the shot takes place in, which is in a transparent cube. This allows the family to see whats happening.

ReplyDeleteOne of the stories in CNN 10 showed that a young boy from Uganda was helping people interact with others outside of the country. I think this is a good thing because it helps others keep an open mind and not to take anything for granted. It also makes them want to help with others who are less fortunate. The other highlight that stood out to me was the one where the owl didn't wan to be on camera. I thought it was really funny and weird that the owl knew what was happening.

ReplyDeleteThere was this TV show called "Hot Zone" and it was basically about the Ebola virus disease and how it was first going around in DRC in 1976. Luckily, they have started to find a cure for the level 4 disease. Which, not to forget, is the highest level a disease can be, like other ones such as marburg virus and hantavirus.

The most impact segment was about a student from Uganda, who moved to the United States, he created a group that would connect people from Uganda to others in the United States. This was just a kind gesture, a way for him to fell at home even in another country.

Ebola has been continuously spreading increasing the death rate. They are coming up with treatments to help decrease the death rate. Another thing was a soccer player came from a country where they did not have much now he is on the Atlanta United u17 team.

Ebola is becoming an ongoing problem. This and cancer need to be in the front chair when it comes to finding treatments. This second outbreak has been devastating all over the world. Treatment centers known as "The Cube" have been set up in places like the Democratic Republic of Congo. Wasswa, the adopted kid from Uganda, I feel is very essential. The world needs more people like him. His spirit and his means are what people need to be exposed to and I am glad that is his story can be told nationally.
