I think R. Kelly is a sick person, and is more than old enough to know that his actions are wrong. As far as people still listening to his music, I personally don’t see anything with it, because despite his actions he does make great music. I do believe that he should face life in prison, and I feel others would too if he wasn’t famous, because of how sick his crime is. Anyone who has done what he has done should face life in prison.
ReplyDeletePeople can listen to whatever music the choose, but this does not mean they support the actions of the person who made the music. Just because He is charged with prostitution it doesn't mean his music reflects this. However, his action aren't correct in any matter so he should be put in jail. So you can listen to any music without wanting to support the person who made it.
ReplyDeleteI think people should still listen to Kelly's music because its good. Also I his music has nothing to do with the situation. Although I do think that he should be locked up for the things he has done. There are multiple victims and whiteness to his case so he should go to jail.

ReplyDeleteI Feel like R.Kelly go to jail because he is rapping young women. These young women shouldn't be treated like that. He just been charged with engaging in prostitution with a person under 18. Therefore he should do jail time. people can still listen to his music to though.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to reading about the things that R-Kelly has done with minors, I think that he should serve time in jail. He had paid for a minor to dance on him as he sexually touched her. R-Kelly was even accused of videotaping himself having sex with underaged girls. That itself, should have him serve time because the girls were still minors. If people found out about what he has done, I think they should stop listening to his music.

ReplyDeleteI can't choice between sides on what R. Kelly did or what he claims that he did not do to those girls. I don't know much about him or his legacy. There is so much going on in this whole where you can't trust most people at all. I just need more evidence so I can state my own opinion if R. Kelly should serve the time or not.

Even though he made terrible decisions in the past I do not think people should stop listening to his music because he is still a good artist . It’s not fair to the victims that he is still on the loose and he can harm other young girls which is why I think he should be put in prison .

DeleteI think it is terrible that a celebrity thinks they can commit crimes just because of their status. As for R Kelly's music, his actions have nothing to do with his music, so people can still listen to it if they enjoy it. R Kelly should still be put in prison if he continued to do sexual actions with minors. R Kelly has dissapointed his fans, the people who look up to him, and threw his entire image in the trash.

ReplyDeleteI feel R Kelly is a multiplicative person. He did young girls very wrong and violated them. He is obviously not in his right mind. From all the evidence from the girls and actual video tapes, there is no reason not to believe the girls. He did something very wrong and degrading to many females and should suffer the consequences.

However I dont think that listening to his music is a bad thing. Some people may enjoy his music, and although I don't listen to it myself, lots of people do, and they aren't bad people for that. his music does not represent the man that he is, and his listeners are nothing like him.

ReplyDeleteI think R. Kelly does bad things to innocent girls. Some of the girls that he does things with don't even know what's really going on or what he is really doing. He thinks just because he is a celebrity and famous he can get away with more things then he should. Maybe not all the girls are telling the full truth but he has probably done these things. As for he music people like what they like, but he talks about what he does to the girls in his songs so I wouldn't listen to it anymore.

ReplyDeleteNever really cared for R.Kelly, but although his crimes are towards women, I think that should speak volumes. Attacking the young and vulnerable teen women, luring the with opportunities was weak of him. R.Kelly will always be to me a serial rapist and a con man to falsify himself to look good in public. He got what he deserved.

ReplyDeleteAfter reading the article and seeing how he treated these young women, I think a cruel person like him should spend life in jail. He abused women and underage girls. There have been tapes released that shows him molesting underage girls and he still got away with it. Then he was once arrested but he got out on bail and got put right back in there because he failed to pay child support.

ReplyDeleteAfter reading the article I think R, Kelly shouldn't be in prison for life but for around 40 years. Why I say this is cause he was manipulative used money/fame to pursue the girl into doing inappropriate acts for him. I think when it comes to his music I think it can still be played but not monetized so he won't make profit off of it. I say this cause his music is already out there and it would be to hard to erase all his music from every site on the internet but if we prevent him from making money off of it he won't be getting paid while in jail.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, I think that this is absolutely disgusting and that it's about time that R.Kelly got what he deserves. This case and the accusations have been going on for about 20 years. And it's disappointing that real action is taking place just now. I especially don't think that people should be listening to his music because in a way that would be supporting his actions. He should be in prison life, considering how long this has been going on.

I do not see a reason to not listen to his music, especially if you liked it before. If all of his cases are like the one listed in the article, then I do not believe he should be in prison for life. But the media and everything that I have heard has been very opinionated, so do not have all the facts to make a decision. But in the end, it’s not my decision to make.

ReplyDeleteI believe we as whole should stop supporting anything of Mr.Kelly, including his music. We are talking a sexual predator who preyed on vulnerable underage girls. By supporting his music like buying and streaming it. We are giving him money to defend against these charges instead of ending up where he belongs, behind bars.

Kelly shouldn't have been able to allow to pay bond since he's rich and famous,that was a stupid decision on the court's part.Whether or not people should be able to listen to Kelly's music,I think they should if they want to even if they are made by a terrible person,but he shouldn't be able to make a profit off of his songs ever again.

There are several feelings toward this artist and to let him go off with an easy sentence would lead to outrages. In conclusion, R. Kelly should serve his time because of what he did.

I think listening to his music after what happened is your own decision, but from my point of view, R. Kelly should have to spend the rest of his life in jail and no doubt be remembered as the rapist he is, not for his music.

ReplyDeleteThe recent news i read was about this man who said his wife went missing but he killed her and hide the body. In my opinion that's so called heart to kill your lover and lie about it. The second one was about a dog getting left in a 123 degree car and is now suffering neurological issues. If you can't take care of an animal to the point where you leave it in a car that's burning up. All that means is your irresponsible and shouldn't even be consider a human from being so cruel.
