  1. There is a major bee problem going on in the USA. Bees help fruit trees, flowers, and vegetables grow, but the bee pollution is decreasing year after year. So a bee company is making a new solution to help bees become more smarter at there work. And so far, it is working

In Hati, a person has been changing the lives of many people. They are making a safe haven for little kids to grow up in. they also have an anger management class for kids who get anger easily. Also in china, there is a 1,800 foot glass boardwalk now.

  2. Over the years the bee population has decreased from 6 million to 2.5 million. They say this is because of new pesticides that are very harmful to bees. I feel neutral about because bees do both good and bad. The good being pollinating our plants and the bad being stinging people.

A man is helping the people of Haiti who go through poverty. He also helps the children who want to go to school and get an education. This is good because all children deserve to have an education.

  5. There is a major declining drop in the population of bees, but scientists assume that it could be pesticides, or parasites causing this problem. A man was interviewed and told that he was helping the people of Haiti deal with poverty. My opinion on the bee situation keeps me thinking that if we humans do not do anything to solve these problems that e have caused, the bee population could be gone forever and the human species will eventually become extinct. The man in Haiti helping people is a really great man, he understands that not everyone deserves to be in such a state, and that they need all the help that they can get.

  6. There is a huge problem with honey bees population. Bees help with our flowers and they pollinate a 3rd of food.Overall I think we need bees because they help with everything. I think what the man is doing in Haiti is really kind because he's helping people get out with danger.

  8. Well the bee population has exponentially declined due to pesticides.
being extremely toxic to the bees immune system. This will most likely result in the destruction of the bee population. This will also lead to the the destruction of half our food supply. However scientist are probably working on a pesticides that will repel other insects but, leave the bees unaffected.

  9. Its crazy how honeybees have contributed $20 million dollars to the value of the U.S. crop production, but i mean the fact that the honey bee population is declining is bad cause they help with a lot of plants everywhere.

Its good that someone is trying to help little kids in school get an education, and he was teaching them about plants and stuff so that's cool.

  11. The honey bee population is started to decline. Necessarily I don't really care but at the same time I do because I don't use honey that often. honey bees suck the pollen out of flowers which is better for me because I am allergic so I care for that reason. In Haiti a hero is creating an oasis for young people because he wants them to express themselves some more.

  13. The story about the bees was eye-opening. I never knew how important bees were to our food supply. It's also really good that someone is doing something to help people in Haiti. There seems to one thing after another happening there and the people barely recover.

  14. Honey Bees getting closer to endanger is not good at all, especially how important they are. Bees play a huge part in agriculture. One third of our global food supply is pollinated by bees. Bees keep plants and crops alive. Without bees, humans wouldn't have very much to eat.

  21. Beekeepers across the US lost four in 10 of their honeybee colonies over the past year, as the worst winter on record for tracked bee populations raised fresh concerns over the plight of the crucial pollinators.

Over the past winter, 37% of honeybee colonies were lost to beekeepers, the worst winter decline recorded in the 13-year history of a nationwide survey aimed at charting bees’ fortunes. Overall, 40% of colonies died off over the entire year to April, which is above the 38% average since the survey began.n response to the widespread losses during wintertime, beekeepers have been splitting healthy colonies to duplicate them. This results in a spike in colony numbers in summer, only for major crashes to occur in winter.

  26. I feel like the bee population decreasing is a huge issue that needs to be recognised more because bees carry the ecosystem in the majority of north america. If they die off the plants and crops looses natural pollination which sparks a huge chain of events then really hurt people and animals.
Also the man trying to bring peace to Haiti is really inspiring because it shows how one man can make an impact big or small in their community

  33. One of the events was about an earthquake in Haiti. It was very devastating for those people who live in Haiti. My option on this is that it’s just so sad how people have to go through these type of things. The second event was about the bee population. It is decreasing because of chemicals and other things. My opinion on this is that why kill these insects when they produce for us. It’s stupid.

  34. They talked about how the bee population is dropping and how scientists have created something to change that. I think that's great because as much as I don't like bees, I know they somehow play an important part. They also talked about a CNN hero that is in Haiti and is providing things for them that many kids in Haiti don't have access to. I'm Haitian so of course i'm all for it. It's great because a lot of the time I feel like people forget that Haiti is a struggling country and that they really need a lot of support.

  35. I think the man helping and teaching the children in Haiti the importance is quite remarkable. I feel like we need more people like him in our communities. Also, the people should take part in protecting the bee population. People should start taking part in protecting bees because they help produce a lot of the food we have today.

  37. There was a decline in honey bee hives. There used to be over a billion hives in America now there is a little over two-million honey bee hives. I think that because of this there will be some changes with our agriculture because bees are so important to us.
People have been walking a long walkway that is made of glass and it is 1,800 feet of the ground in southern China. I would never do that, because I might feel like i'm falling.

  38. I think that the decrease in bees is a very unfortunate thing that is happening. As mentioned they are very important to society and the fact that all the pesticides and toxins us humans are putting into the air are hurting them is sad. Though it is hard to find something that is beneficial to keep bees safe and other bugs away I think that we should just leave them alone and stop pumping stuff into the air. I think that if we stop spreading all of the chemicals into the air that everything will take care of itself naturally. Also with what is going on in Haiti I think that it is awful to see all the protests and disputes over everything but I like seeing that this man took initiative to take it upon himself to create a safe space for all the kids for them to grow and develop without having to be in a depressing environment.
