  1. This cop should be sacrificed to SATAN in exchange for stability in our capitalist economy. Their behavior is unacceptable and as a man of the law, he does not accurately represent the police force as a whole. "This guy is just a dick", said the man in the video, and truer words have never been spoken.

  2. These cops are getting out of hand, like it's crazy. You can't talk to just anybody how you want to. People have no dignity about anything they do. I agree with his badge and gun being taken, one hundred percent. The cop was out of hand and disrespectful. It makes people scared to be pulled over and approached by the police, when they're suppose to be "protectors".

  3. This is a pretty outrageous video. The police had no reason to go off on the driver like that. The police are already under high scrutiny these days and all he did was make the rest of the police force's problems higher. They should have stripped him of his badge and put him in anger management. I don't think this was the first time he has done this. It sounds like he has some anger problems. I would have been shaking and crying if someone like that, with authority, was cursing and yelling at me. Thankfully, the argument didn't escalate into anything more. However, it is still unacceptable.

  4. This cop received the right punishment for berating an uber driver for he over reacted to the gestures made by the driver and taking it too personal. The behavior presented by this officer was a complete disgrace to officers who claim to mange the peace, not dampen it further. The appropriate solution to this misdemeanor seems appropriate in relation to what should happen. Detective Patrick Cherry has been removed from the department’s elite Joint Terrorism Task Force and will be doing desk duty until he is officially transferred out of the prestigious division. In the events of what happened this action by the NYPD is an appropriate punishment to the person who reflected poorly on everyone who wears the police uniform.

  5. A cop shouldn't be treating or using those choice of words to an uber driver. Also he shouldn't been yelling the way he was and asking how long he's been in America. Which wasn't right. Police officers are suppose to approach the situation in a calm not going out of hand for no reason.

  6. I personally could not watch the video because it would not load. But from reading the article it looks as if the cop approached the driver in the wrong way and took the situation wrongly. No matter what the situation is or how mad you are that is not the way you go of things. I think he should be suspended until he figures out how to thoroughly handle his job as a man of the law. He is supposed to be someone people can call for help how can you call for help if this is how we are going to get treated?

  7. I personally believe that the cop did wrong first by trying to park and not using any type of signal. However, the driver did not have to make any rude gestures because two wrongs don't make a right. Then in addition to making the first wrong, the cop made it worse by yelling at the man and the Uber driver only tried to apologize. I think the officer should have lost his job.

  9. The police should not have acted in such an angry manner to the driver. The situation clearly wasn't that serious and there was no need for such ill mannered behavior. While the right action was put in place by the stripping of his badge that still does not take away from the reoccurring reality that police are abusing their powers. Police Men are suppose to be valiant protectors of the people, not an antagonist who scrutinize civilians.

  12. This cop deserves to be kicked off the force in my opinion. Main reason being that cops are supposed to uphold the law in the upmost respect and duty, and he clearly committed violations from within the speech.

he already is getting moved to a new unit and he is doing a desk job. his behavior should make it to where he doesnt work with people. he needs to learn how to deal with people before he can work with them. i think he should get a new job because it doesnt seem like a good idea for him to work there anymore. but i like the punishment he already got. it seems reasonable and fair because he will also be moved into a place were he most likely wont get paid as much.

  16. I think they are doing fine with taking away his badge, gun , and putting him on modified duty. He should understand the messed up part of his actions. He might even need to be kicked of the police force.

  17. The behavior of this police officer was uncalled for and not needed. He was using the harsh voice and saying rude things simple because he has the power to. Police feel as if they have the power to do whatever they want nowadays. This man should not be allowed to work in the force anymore along with many others. He should apologies to the man which he falsely accused. This man is acting the same as many current officers do and taking all their anger and problems out on people which have done nothing wrong.

  18. The cop should be removed from the force for his actions. To me this is racism and a big case of discrimination. People all over the world are tired of cops thinking they are above the law.

  19. The cop deserves what he gets. I don't understand why the cop thinks he has the right to speak like that to anybody, just because your a cop doesn't mean you have the right to disrespect another. Cops were made to enforce the law in respect and he did not do so with his choice of words. The cop got what he deserved and this should be a lesson to him.

  24. Justice should most definitely be served for this wrongful act displayed by this cop. There is no reason for the continuous disrespect he showed towards the driver. This cop should be stripped of his badge and any authority he holds. This was most definitely an act of discrimination and racism and i'm glad that they are taking charge of this matter.

  27. The police officer was very disrespectful. He should be punished for what he did because it was unnecessary and a disgrace to the proud men and woman who put that uniform on daily and use it for the right purposes. The police officer purposely tried to make the driver feel like he was beneath him and talked to him very disrespectfully. It is good that the passenger recorded this incident because its helping spread awareness about how disrespectful and rude a lot of police officers are. Police brutality needs to be stopped. I also think that the officer bringing the drivers race and where he came from into the conversation was completely unnecessary.

The police officer had no reason to disrespect the driver . Everyone should be treated equally especially if the driver did not come off rude. Majority of the time police officers feel that they have all the ultimate power. Therefore, they feel the need to disrespect others and go out of their character. Overall, police officers are there to help and protect and enforce the laws and not destroy the society ( like police brutality ).

No police officer should treat people like he did to the driver.

I think every officer should be put through training once again to PROPERLY deal with every situation, instead of killing them or harsh fully beating people.

  86. this video is kinda hard to watch. that officer shouldnt have went off on the drive that way . police officers are already in so much at this point in time and all he did was make it worse for many officers around the world. in my opinion he doesn't deserve to keep his job. I don't think this was the first time he did something like this . I would have been terrified if this happened to me. by the grace of god the situation didn't turn into anything more but it easily could have.

  87. Police are abusing their power. No cop should feel like they are superior or above anyone. They can't just talk to people anyway they feel like it. There is a right way to do things and 100% of the time, being aggressive and rude is not the right thing to do. The cop should be suspended indefinitely and be put through training again as punishment.

  89. I feel as if police take advantage f their authority. It seems as if they are never punished for their mistakes. Police also act as if they are above society and seem to never think as if they where in the place of society.

  90. The police are overusing there power and it has to stop because it seems there doing these things on purpose because they can get away with it and it's unfair to people who don't know their rights and the laws and it's wrong for the police to use their power to hurt people

  91. The police are here for citizens to be safe not to be afraid of like most citizens. This police officer should be given an appropriate punishment. The next step is to prevent situations like this from happening again. Police officers should not think they are above the law.

  92. In my opinion, I think that the way the police officer handled the situation was very wrong. The way the officer was talking to the uber driver was very disrespectful. To be honest, the way that the police are using their power is the wrong way for which they are abusing it passed their limits for situations where it isn't even needed.
