ReplyDeleteA 16 year-old girl named Shira Banki, which was only at the parade to support her friends.Schlissel who was the killer, was just recently released from prison from a decade ago from stabbing many at another pride parade. For what he had done, he was sentenced life in prison and ordered to pay restitution.This year, the Family of Shira encouraged everyone to attend the parade to represent and their concerns about for what has happened. High security was reinforced through out the time being of the parade and the following will consist of the same amount of security. Flags were held tall and shouts of glory and happiness to express what has happened is being represented with love and respect but to show the LGBT community that this isn't the right thing toward people just because of their gender choice.

As according to the Brazilian Forum of Public Security this is one of the worst districts for murder in Rio,the city in a country where there are 60,000 murders a year. The homicide squad are busy men who don't want to be quoted, but they did also want there work to seen. The homicide squad answers an average of four murder calls a day. One day they answered 17. On Saturday night, CNN joined them for their third murder call of their 24-hour shift, just around 11 p.m. The scene was at first secured by military police, but around the body there are no signs of grief or mourn. The man had been shot 26 times, many of the casings were scattered, but there were some found by the victims head. no one seem to know what happened or how it happened, but the homicide squad was against the clock.Police tell us here they're in a civil war.
