Reasons for this would be because of low tickets sales , there are over more than 800,000 tickets that have not been sold. Also sources say that there have been reports of such low tickets sales due to the zika virus being in Rio. as of now, currently Rio tickets are up for grab for anybody interested. The US Olympic Committee said the robbery occurred after the athletes left a party at the French hospitality house. The swimmers are not the only athletes in Rio to complain of theft.
