I think this would be controversial to the Chinese community, what they know is that google wasn't allowed by there government for some reason, well I don't know about you but if my government didn't allow something I would think it wasn't safe. It's a mistake because a reasonible person would do the right thing to not be evil, but most people in today's world simply "Do the Right Thing" for their own gain.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, google shouldn't move to China because cyber hackers will have access to private information and Google is not sure if these hackers will end up targeting them again with a more strategic plan.
ReplyDeleteI think this Is a very controversial situation because China has had some problems with google in the past. With them trying to patch up these injuries as you might say, it could very much likely help us out here in the U.S. It would help us advance further in technology.

ReplyDeleteYes , I do think that this move is controversial . I think when the U.S people actually see how fast google’s stock rises, they would be fine with it. Also they will be serving the Chinese government. I see no point in moving it to China.
ReplyDeleteI believe this is very controversial. On one hand, Chinese citizens should be allowed to use whatever they can within their limitations. It's better to censor Google and allow them access to certain tools and information than to take away Google altogether. Also, the expansion would be very profitable for Google seeing as China has hundreds of millions of internet users that Google could tap into. However, blocking certain things would go against Google's mission and "devotion to web freedom". They would have to comply with China's wishes which they don't agree with. The decision all depends on Google's priorities.
ReplyDeleteIn my eyes i feel like this is very controversial because google going in china for business purposes might help out and be more of a benefit because China's technology is always advancing which will probably be boosting things for google, but when it comes to the people there might be a lot of things cut off from the people to follow the rules and restrictions of china and also be an even bigger treat of hackers. But to me I feel like they should go back to china but only follow a few restrictions because google is known for being able to search anything you want.
ReplyDeleteThe is a bit controversial. On one hand, Google can now advertise to the large Chinese population and potentially pave the way for internet freedom in China. On the other hand, Google is conforming to China's strict internet restrictions and opening the opportunity for misinformation by the Chinese government. Google changed their motto from "don't be evil" to "do the right thing". On the surface it looks like a positive change that will reshape the company in a favorable way, but thee reality is that the motto can be easily interpreted in whatever way google wants. For example they justified opening the Chinese Google again by saying "It is the right thing for Google

It will be controversial because in China they have a lot of hackers and returning google is only going to give those hackers another opportunity to hack google again. Also this will give those hackers an open invitation to start a dark web. This is why it will be controversial.

ReplyDeleteYes it is a controversial situation. The reason is that once google goes back to china every other current search engine will be irrelevant. Also if they do bring their search engine back then they will have to thoroughly comply with china and there rules or else they get shut down. Also once they do launch google it will still be restricted and will be shared with the government. This could cause issues with china and their people.

Now that they have access to google it would be easier for them hack other stuff. Then if we don't open it up China would think that we are breaking one of the rules about not being evil.

It currently offers just a few services in the country-Google Translate, a file organizing program and a new Al game. Advertising is Google's main source of revenue, And 1.4 billion potential users are hard to ignore. Facebook (FB), which competes with Google for advertising revenue, is also locked out of China. ReplyDeleteI do believe Google should move to China. However, if there are environment and service issues it can cause google to slow down leading to less customers. China has lots of experts would are moved to he U.S for help. Moving the whole system to China may allow for a better living for some.
