  1. In Ireland, the government "accidentally" legalizes drugs. Such drugs as ecstasy, ketamine and a ton of other drugs were legal to possess in Ireland until Thursday March 12, 2015. This legalization was due to a loophole; the 1977 Misuse of Drugs Act (Ireland's version of our Controlled Substances Act) was ruled illegal on a constitutional technicality. Drugs sound fun.

  3. Last night NBA player Kyrie Irving had a total of 57 points last night to hit his career high. It was a very astonishing night for Irving and his team. Up against one of the most fundamental teams in the league, Kyrie did the absolute best. Social media was very active last night during the game and refereed him as "Uncle Drew", meaning one of the best ever. With the help of his teammate, LeBron James, it was a very special night for the Cavilers. Many users on Twitter were saying Kyrie for MVP, but personally i think Steph Curry matches that role better than anyone right now :) Kyrie will go down as a top player, and he has many more years to fulfill and hopefully set higher goals for himself.

  7. Over the last few months, we've seen a few videos of swing man Paul George as he gets closer and closer to returning to action for the Pacers. In fact, with the Pacers pushing for a playoff spot, some have wondered just how much a return from George could boost the Pacers. And while we don’t know exactly how his athleticism will be affected by the broken leg he suffered in the scrimmage with Team USA, in this video from Pacers.com, PG’s jumper looks pretty good — even when he’s literally off the court. An auction company says it has Michael Jordan's earliest known pair of game-worn shoes from his rookie season with the Chicago Bulls. SCP Auctions expects to get $50,000 or more when it auctions off the shoes, beginning April 8. 9. "U.S. admiral raises alarm over Russian military threat"-CNN

The ability of the U.S. and Canadian military to defend North America could be jeopardized by stepped up Russian military activity, according to the commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command. Adm. William Gortney told the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday that Russia is continuing to work on its program to deploy "long-range conventionally armed cruise missiles," that can be launched from its bomber aircraft, submarines and warships. This is giving the Kremlin "deterrent" options "short of the nuclear threshold," Gortney said. Under NORAD operations, the U.S. and Canada routinely send fighter jets into the skies to monitor any Russian military aircraft approaching the U.S. coastline. The Russian operations have not extended to actually flying into U.S. or Canadian airspace, but in the last year Russia is clearly trying to keep a closer eye on NORAD.One of the security challenges for the U.S. is to determine whether the cruise missiles on its bomber aircraft, submarines and warships are indeed conventional or may be nuclear tipped. When carried aboard submarines, ships and in the internal bays of bombers it's nearly impossible for U.S. intelligence to know with certainty. The concern remains that the Russian deployments of aircraft and ships into Crimea and the Kaliningrad region could give Moscow a platform for the deployment of the weapons that concern the U.S.

  18. Yesterday in Ferguson, two police officers were shot during another peaceful protest. The officers were not fatally shot; however, the shooters have not yet been found. I believe that it is the responsibility of the people to discourage violent acts during this time of racial distress in our country, and though the violent ones are not the majority, I believe things will not get better unless there is compromise and understanding on both sides of the fight. Things will be much better when less officers are antsy in certain situations. We don't need more officers who are unnecessarily ready to stand their ground.

In lighter news, yesterday at a Wisconsin Middle School, bullying was not being tolerated. 46. Jordan wore the shoes in a road game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 2, 1984, before Nike had even unveiled the superstar's signature Air Jordan shoes. Jordan gave his signed, game-used shoes to former Lakers ball boy Khalid Ali, who has kept them for the past three decades before deciding to sell. They're white Nike Air shoes with a red swoosh.

  47. Many users on Twitter were saying Kyrie for MVP, but personally i think Steph Curry matches that role better than anyone right now Kyrie will go down as a top player, and he has many more years to fulfill and hopefully set higher goals for himself.

Gen. James L. Terry, the coalition force's commander, using another name for ISIS.
"The ISF continues to hold terrain in some locations while making gains in others."In an audio message posted Thursday, ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammed al Adnani called reports of victories by coalition members against the extremist group "delusional and fake."He spoke of the coalition's use of fighter jets, heavy artillery and tanks, saying it is a "nightmare and will go eventually."

Our TMZ photog asked Henson straight up if she thinks "Empire" should use the inflammatory word to give the show street cred. Seems she's siding with writer David Rambo. It's a pretty touchy issue, and she thinks it's a button showrunners might not want to push.
    2) Bobbi Kristina's aunt, Leolah Brown, claims Nick Gordon is responsible for Bobbi Kristina's dire medical state, and she blames someone else ... Pat Houston.
Leolah has harsh words for Nick, claiming she has knowledge of what he did to his girlfriend and calling him "guilty."
But Leolah rails on Pat, saying she's a phony whom Whitney never liked, and she forced a fragile Bobbi Kristina to do a reality show on the heels of her mom's death, which emotionally wrecked her.

  78. "I like our progress, but I like to win," Celtics coach Brad Stevens was saying Sunday after Boston had been swept in the opening round of the NBA playoffs by the Cleveland Cavaliers. "So I'm disappointed right now. We have to get better in every which way, and that's the challenge ahead. Because winning is a lot more fun."
The view of 38-year-old Stevens has changed. No longer is there any question whether he could transition from college coaching to the NBA, because the last two months proved he could: Minus their top three players -- Rajon Rondo, Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger -- his Celtics went 24-12 to reach the playoffs at least one year ahead of schedule.
"Where I feel much more comfortable is the understanding of 29 opponents, understanding the schedule, understanding the NBA and the game management," Stevens had been saying earlier in the week, when there was still hope of stealing a game or two from LeBron James. "Those were all like knock-you-over experiences. Now I feel like I've got a handle on all that. Now it's just about coaching this team as well as we can."
He has behaved over his first two seasons as if his grasp of the NBA was sure to come sooner than later. The issue for Stevens had little to do with his adaptation to professional basketball; the real question was whether he wanted to start from the bottom of the NBA and rebuild his career all over again.
